Designed by Achille Castiglioni for Flos, the “Noce” lamp is a versatile wall or ceiling light from the Italian design golden age. Presented here in a gunmetal grey finish, this discontinued model reflects Castiglioni’s rigorous approach to everyday lighting: essential in form, intelligent in function, and conceived for both domestic and contract use.


The lamp features a robust metal body with softly rounded geometry, paired with an unbreakable frosted glass diffuser that produces an even, glare-free light. The gunmetal grey lacquer underlines its utilitarian elegance, while the proportions balance compact dimensions with a generous luminous surface. Equipped with two E27 sockets, it can be fitted with LED bulbs, making it highly adaptable for contemporary interiors and outdoor applications.


Technically, this example preserves its impressed Flos mark on the back and retains the insulating gasket, allowing for use in exterior or semi-exposed settings when correctly installed. Condition is fair, with visible wear and scratches to the metal base, especially on the rear — details that are largely concealed once mounted. The glass diffuser remains intact, and the overall construction speaks to the durable production standards of Flos in the period.
