Kengiro Azuma (1926 - 2016) was a Japanese sculptor and painter.
His family was a bronze artisan, but instead of following his family tradition after the Second World War he studied art. After his graduation, he obtained a scholarship in Italy so in 1956 he moved to Milan. He became the pupil of Italian artist Marino Marini and he is also influenced by the works of Lucio Fontana. He participates to many important sculpture exhibitions and he is often invited abroad to realize permanent works. His sculptures were regarded as a synthesis between zen art and European avant-garde. He chooses Milan as his new hometown, where he is now buried among the city's most valuable personalities.
