Architect and designer based in Milan, Zanuso was a pivotal figure in post-war Italian industrial design. A professor at the Politecnico di Milano, he explored new technologies and production methods, from early experiments with foam rubber and plastics to rigorously engineered metal furniture. His collaborations included Kartell and Siemens (with Richard Sapper). His work merges clarity of structure with humane comfort.
