Designed in 1954, the ‘Aster’ chair distills Augusto Bozzi’s refined approach for Saporiti Italia, pairing an elegant, sculpted seat with an airy steel structure typical of Milan’s post-war design culture. This set of four presents the model’s poised silhouette and efficient footprint, ideal as dining or side chairs within a contemporary or mid-century context.

The contoured shell offers a comfortable, supportive sit; its newly upholstered deep-green fabric underscores the chair’s crisp geometry. Slender chrome-plated legs—braced in a light triangulated structure—end in subtle brass details, giving the design a precise, architectural stance without visual weight.

The set has been carefully restored with new upholstery and stuffing; the original Saporiti labels, removed during earlier work, have been re-applied to the fresh fabric. The metal frames remain original. Light oxidation appears on three chairs, with more evident wear on the fourth—consistent with age and honest use—resulting in a coherent, well-preserved ensemble suitable for daily use and discerning collections.
