Entirely wheel-thrown in stoneware, the piece showcases Terenzi’s technical mastery and the painterly sensitivity typical of Valentini’s approach to surface decoration. This is one of the workshop’s artistic production pieces, likely executed under the direct supervision of both artists.
It is signed under the base, confirming its authenticity, and is preserved in excellent vintage condition, with no chips, cracks, or restorations.
A perfect example of how Ceramica Arcore combined sculptural form, material experimentation, and exceptional craftsmanship.
A rare, signed piece that embodies the poetic and technical excellence of Italian studio ceramics in the 1970s.
Founded in the late 1960s in Arcore, near Milan, Ceramica Arcore was established by artist Nanni Valentini and ceramist Marco Terenzi and Tina Terenzi. The workshop became known for its refined stoneware production, where sculptural form met painterly glaze techniques — a defining expression of Italian ceramic art in the 20th century.
