Directional wall spotlight SP15 by Gino Sarfatti for Arteluce, 1950s

This Gino Sarfatti SP15 wall spotlight, produced by Arteluce in the 1950s, is a fine example of Italian modernist lighting design.

Minimal and refined, the lamp exemplifies Sarfatti’s ability to achieve pure form dictated by function, anticipating a language that remains strikingly contemporary today.

Made of black lacquered metal, the SP15 is conceived as a versatile wall or ceiling light, where the bulb itself becomes an integral part of the design — a recurrent feature in Sarfatti’s work. Its timeless geometry and functional elegance embody the essence of Italian modernist lighting.

Condition: vintage, with visible signs of wear, oxidation and small losses to the original paint.
