Designed by Enzo Mari with Giancarlo Fassina for Artemide, the “Aggregato” is a refined example of the manufacturer’s modular lighting from the mid-1970s. This version—now out of production—features the sought-after emerald-green conical shade and an articulated double-joint structure that allows precise orientation for desk or bedside use.
The lamp balances a slim metal arm with a circular base and a wide, tapering shade that delivers generous, glare-controlled light. The vivid green finish adds a crisp graphic note, while the proportions remain disciplined and architectural. An E27 socket ensures straightforward compatibility, including with LED bulbs.
Technical details underscore the model’s utility: the dual knuckle joints enable a wide range of adjustments; the original Artemide label remains on the upright; and the piece presents in honest vintage condition with light wear consistent with use. A discreetly repaired hairline to the shade is barely perceptible in normal viewing.
As part of Artemide’s celebrated modular systems, Aggregato sits comfortably within the discourse of Italian radical-to-rational lighting, uniting Mari’s conceptual rigor with Fassina’s engineering finesse.
