Pair of ceramic bowls by Bruno Gambone, Italy, 1990s, glazed terracotta and turquoise

This pair of ceramic bowls was created by Bruno Gambone in Italy in the 1990s. Son of Guido Gambone, Bruno is recognized as one of the most important Italian ceramic artists of the second half of the 20th century, known for his refined balance between sculptural form and color experimentation.

Each bowl features a striking contrast: the interior is finished with a brilliant turquoise glaze, while the exterior remains matte in earthy tones of brown and terracotta. This interplay of textures and colors exemplifies Gambone’s ability to merge tradition with modernity.

Both bowls are signed in full Bruno Gambone on the underside, a signature typical of the 1990s.
Condition: excellent vintage condition, no defects or restorations.
Elegant and timeless, these bowls represent a fine example of Italian ceramic art and are highly collectible within the oeuvre of Bruno Gambone.
