This decorative cigar box was designed and crafted in the 1960s by Piero Fornasetti, in his lab in Milan. Fornasetti was the most influential decorator of his generation, often collaborating with peers such as Gio Ponti, creating iconic images and patterns that are now world-famous.
Although Fornasetti is active currently as a brand, and still reissuing some of their classic boxes, this piece is part of the old craftmanship production and their decor are no longer produced. It is made of painted metal with a walnut inner structure. This wood gives warmth to their appereance and plays in contrast with the vivid color of the picture
