Stilnovo’s model 2143 is a concise mid-century wall lamp from the 1960s, emblematic of the Milanese firm’s architectural clarity. The piece offers an elegant up-and-down light, ideal for corridors, bathrooms, and living spaces where measured, ambient illumination is required. Can be mounted vertically or horizontally.
The construction combines a chromed central collar and backplate in varnished metal with two cylindrical triplex-opal glass diffusers. The balanced symmetry and compact 28 cm height give a poised profile, while the satin glass softens glare and delivers an even bidirectional glow. The restrained palette of chrome and white suits both period and contemporary interiors.
Technical notes: engraved “Stilnovo Italy” marking to the wall mount; designed for dual E14 lightbulbs concealed by the opaline cylinders. Surface wear is consistent with age; the glasses are intact. Period wiring in working conditions, no longer fitting current standards. As always with vintage lighting, rewiring or safety testing by a qualified electrician is recommended prior to installation.
