2 cabinets by Giancarlo De Caro from Colonia Sip Enel Riccione 1960s

These cabinets were designed by architect Giancarlo De Caro for Colonia Sip Enel in Riccione (a children colony for summer holidays), which he designed in 1963. As far as we know, they are the only remaining examples of the buildings furniture.

Made of oak and plywood, with the shelves covered in colored formica, they were furniture intended for children's bedrooms. The cabinet with yellow shelves has a pull-out drawer inside that served as a coat rack for the little guest's jacket.

These pieces of furniture, with clear historical value, were professionally restored to remedy the many signs of wear and tear and moisture damage they had suffered, and are now in good vintage condition.
