Danese Milano
Danese Milano, founded in 1957 by Bruno Danese and Jacqueline Vodoz, shaped Milan’s post-war design culture. Collaborations with Enzo Mari and Bruno Munari yielded enduring icons—Mari’s Formosa/Timor calendars and 16 Animali; Munari’s Falkland lamp and Cubo ashtray. Other fruitful collaboration were with the ceramicist Franco Meneguzzo, at the very beginning, and with Angelo Mangiarotti. The brand’s clear, didactic language turns everyday tools into precise, useful objects. Many pieces remain in production and museum collections, securing Danese as a benchmark of understated Italian design.
