Luisa Parisi
Luisa Aiani Parisi was an Italian architect and interior designer whose partnership with Ico Parisi shaped Como’s post-war design culture. Active from the late 1940s, she co-authored interiors, furniture, lighting, and textiles marked by calibrated proportion, color, and material tactility. Working with Brianza ateliers and leading manufacturers, she guided prototypes and finishes, translating architectural ideas into livable objects and balanced rooms. As co-founder and director of La Ruota (mid-1950s), she curated exhibitions that set design in dialogue with contemporary art. Though many projects were credited to “Ico Parisi,” archival reconstructions increasingly foreground her decisive role. Her legacy endures in works that join measured elegance with everyday function.
