Pair of Mod. 13-3114 chairs for Fantoni
This chairs are made from solid cherry wood with a transparent glossy finish, and belong to the American Homestead Collection by Pennsylvania House Furniture, marked as model 13-3114, produced under licence by Fantoni in Italy from the late 1960s to the late 1980s. These chairs were purchased in the 1970s, their provenence is a private apartment in Milan, inside a residential building by architect Luigi Caccia Dominioni (via Francesco Cherubini).
Classic and modern at the same time, they have a clean design that emphatizes the quality of wood.
Fantoni is an Italian manufacturer, that in the late 1950s and 1960s has also worked with Italian architect Edoardo Gellner, producing much of the iconic furniture of Villaggio Eni in Borca di Cadore, a project by Enrico Mattei, realized by Gellner, that has also collaborated with Carlo Scarpa for the design of the church.
